Just wondering if anyone has fished the Stick Marsh lately. Haven't been there in years. Before I make the trip I was hoping someone could share some feedback.

I fish there all the time as a guide. Fishing had been relatively slow previous to last week. On a fullday trip last week we got 30 fish with several over 5 lbs. As the water begins to cool I believe the fishing will only get better.

Unless you live nearby I would recommend going in Dec or again in March. The past 2 years I have went in March and caught an 11.5lber and a 10lber. I used to live nearby and went allot. Now that I live 3+ hours away I haven't been since March.

But anytime is good to go unless it is windy like it has been. I wouldn't make the drive if there is a north wind that is more than 12mph. The reason is that you should fish in the south end of the Farm. Using lipless baits is the ticket out there in Dec-March. Spinnerbaits are good also and worms.

If you go, would love to hear your report.

Good luck.
